As part of the \u201cHealthTech Innovation\u201d event, MONDRAGON Health participated in a round table that highlighted the strength and potential of the Basque healthcare ecosystem at an international level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/basquehealthcluster.org\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Basque Health Cluster<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bioef.eus\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BIOEF<\/a> and entitled \u201cThe Basque Health Ecosystem: A value proposition in the international context\u201d, the round table<strong> brought together a panel of<\/strong> top-level<strong> experts<\/strong>, including representatives from the public administration, leading companies in the sector, research centers and universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The speakers, including<strong> I\u00f1aki Guti\u00e9rrez-Ibarluzea<\/strong>, director of Health Research and Innovation of the Basque Government; <strong>Maria Eugenia Puertas Azkue<\/strong> of <a href=\"https:\/\/bexen.com\/medical\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bexen Medical<\/a>, representing MONDRAGON Health; <strong>Rikardo Bueno Zabalo<\/strong> general manager of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brta.eus\/es\/inicio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BRTA &#8211; Basque Research &amp; Technology Alliance<\/a>; <strong>Koldo Callado<\/strong> doctor in medicine and surgery and full professor of the Department of Pharmacology of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehu.eus\/es\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UPV\/EHU<\/a>; and <strong>Arantza Muriana<\/strong> from the Basque Health Cluster, shared their visions and experiences on how <strong>the Basque Country is positioning itself as a reference in the field of health<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Collaboration and synergies to transform the sector<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the session, moderated by Alberto Jos\u00e9 Fern\u00e1ndez Gonz\u00e1lez, Director of Technology and Innovation of the Basque Government, the importance of<strong> collaboration between the different agents in the ecosystem to drive innovation<\/strong> and improve people&#8217;s quality of life was highlighted. They highlighted the existing synergies between institutions, companies and the healthcare system, as well as the challenges and opportunities on the horizon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In parallel, another round table entitled \u201cDigital Therapies: Innovation and Wellness through Value-Based Medicine and Patient Engagement\u201d was held. In this session, experts explored how<strong> digital therapies are transforming healthcare<\/strong>. Speakers shared their knowledge and experiences on how these innovations are putting the patient at the center of care, improving health outcomes and optimizing resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A promising future<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event made it clear that the Basque healthcare ecosystem is undergoing a moment of great transformation.
