The SIVI Cluster of Castilla y León visits MONDRAGON Health
Representatives of the association met in Otalora with the cooperatives of the alliance to share experiences and identify points of collaboration.
The SIVI Cluster of Castilla y León, which develops innovative technological solutions for independent living, has shared a session with representatives of the MONDRAGON Health cooperatives to get to know the Basque alliance from the inside. The meeting held in Otalora, MONDRAGON’s Management and Cooperative Development Center, catalyzed the search for points of collaboration between the two organizations.
The day began with a visit to Copreci to see at first hand the new INNTRO induction stove, aimed at the social and health sector. This gave way to a session for exchanging experiences in Otalora, where representatives of the SIVI Cluster and the MONDRAGON Health cooperatives identified points in common for drawing up new lines of collaboration. At the end of the day, a tour of the MONE space provided an insight into the cooperative experience in Arrasate, led by Ander Etxeberria, head of the MONDRAGON cooperative dissemination area.
From SIVI participated in the meeting Montse Fernández Chimente, manager; Laura Sáez Mata, technician; César Pardo Hervella, technician; Pablo Gomez, president; Pablo Viñas, representative of CARTIF; and César Merino Sánchez, representative of ITCL (Instituto Tecnológico De Castilla Y León). They were joined by representatives of different cooperatives such as Bexen Cardio, Bihar Homecare, Centro Stirling, Copreci, Gerodan, Fagor Healthcare, LKS Next and Headquarters MONDRAGON.
A decade promoting independent living
This year the association celebrates a decade in the design, development and application of innovative technological solutions in the fields of active and healthy aging, mental health and independent living. It has approximately 80 companies, institutions, foundations and residential centers for the elderly among its members.
It is a cluster with a multisectorial character, which allows it to cover all the stages of an innovation project: from conception, design and development, to testing in application groups, exploitation of results and commercialization. Thus, it aims to boost the competitiveness of the ICT and healthcare sectors in Castilla y León and promote collaboration between companies to find innovative solutions for disability and dependence.
