Bexen Cardio promotes the first network of cardioprotected pharmacies in Gipuzkoa

• Bexen Cardio and the Official College of Pharmacists of Gipuzkoa (COFG) have created the first network of cardioprotected pharmacies in Gipuzkoa with the Reanibex 100 defibrillator.

The initiative promoted by Bexen Cardio and the Official College of Pharmacists of Gipuzkoa (COFG) aims to improve the capacity for immediate response to cardiorespiratory arrest, facilitating access to defibrillators and having professionals trained to act in critical situations.

A total of 22 pharmacies in the territory already have the Reanibex 100 semi-automatic defibrillator from Bexen Cardio, which is connected to the Reanibex Alert app, a tool that automatically alerts the community of volunteers trained to assist in this type of situation. In case of use of the defibrillator, the trained people receive a notification on their cell phone so that they can quickly go and assist the victim.

The participating pharmacies have been included in the map of defibrillators of the Basque Government Department of Health, with a total of 93 pharmacists and collaborators trained in first aid and defibrillator use.
