The Model of Care followed at GSR is very satisfactory, both for the caregivers and for the people cared for and their families

gsr

GSR is a multi-purpose social and health care management cooperative, capable of integrating the supply and provision of the different social and health care services that its residents may require, accompanying them in their evolution, which allows them to adapt the care service at all times to the personal needs of the patients and their families.

To this end, GSR offers the following services:

  • Home care: Provision of medical and health care services in the patient’s home.
  • Day care: Care and support services for the elderly or people with special needs during the day, offering therapeutic and social activities in a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Mid-stay care: Involves the temporary stay of elderly people or people with care needs in a residential setting, providing comprehensive care, medical services and socialisation activities for a specified period.
  • Long-term care: Continuous stay of elderly people or people with care needs in a long-term residential setting, providing comprehensive care, medical services, personalised care and activities adapted to their needs for an extended period of time.
  • Palliative care: With the aim of improving their quality of life and alleviating symptoms, providing comprehensive and personalised care, both to the patient and their loved ones, in any setting where it is required, whether at home, in hospitals or hospices.

Care model

GSR S.Coop. is committed to the person-centred care model as a model of care in all the centres in which it operates. The Person-Centred Care modelm consists of the development of various measures in the physical, social and organisational environment, in order to promote the quality of life of people in need of care. It is a way of understanding the care relationship, where the person is the active protagonist, and the environment and the organisation become supports to develop life projects and ensure the well-being of people in need of care.

Restraint-free centres

No one wants to be in bondage. No one feels dignified with restraint.

GSR has implemented the Libera Ger methodology in its centres and has been able to conclude with satisfaction that the Model of Care without Restraint is very satisfactory, both for the caregivers and for the people cared for and their families.

The benefits of the Model of Care without Restraints for the user are summarised in the following table.
